Hello Everyone!

My name is Ashley Mielke, and I'm a staff member for Project Makeover at the University of Florida. Project Makeover is a student-led nonprofit that partners each year with an elementary school in Alachua County to completely transform its campus in just one weekend. Together, our volunteers paint colorful murals, refresh landscaping, and construct interactive outdoor spaces that spark joy and curiosity for students.

Since 2008, Project Makeover has renovated 16 local elementary schools, impacting thousands of students and teachers. Our goal is simple- to help every child walk into school feeling inspired, proud, and excited to learn.
